WHAT IS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art that uses leverage, position, timing, and technique to overcome a deficit in size and strength, with the objective of controlling and ultimately making an opponent submit using joint locks, strangle holds, and other finishing techniques. Jiu-Jitsu does not rely on physical attributes for success, making it appropriate for men, women, and children of all shapes, sizes, and goals.
